My friend Slash, owner of Tavern on 12 Restaurant in Frisco brought some of his team members fishing on the bite me today.

We set out and quickly went 0-2 on sails, didn’t quite act right and the captain wiffed them.

found a chunk of wood floating and caught about a dozen dolphin.

fished around for a while look but not finding much.

finally found a large patch of grass that was holding bailers.

ended up catching a large mess!

thanks Guys!

Check them out, one of may favorite places to eat, Year Round!

Mahi and Marlin

The Billfish bite is heating up and we can not be anymore excited! Seeing those flags flying coming down the creek this afternoon was a sight for sore eyes. We had mostly Blue Marlin and Sailfish across the fleet today, but a few of our private boats had White Marlin releases, so I am chalking it up to a Grand Slam across the marina with bonus Mahi for dinner! The Nearshore fleet had a nice catch of Ribbonfish as well as a few Albacore and Amberjacks.

Blue Marlin, White Marlin and some dolphin

Blue Marlin, White Marlin and some dolphin

Will and his crew on board today.

pretty day and the action was kinda slow to start.

We did have a sailfish encounter but the captain wifffed him.

we found a couple of floats that just were not holding but a couple of dolphin each.

had a really pretty blue marlin teaser bite and ended up hooking the 300 pounder on a dink rod and he about spooled us, but he stayed up top and Brian did and excellent job of reeling on the blue one, jumped a lot on the circle hook!

found a float that was holding a few fish including gaffers!

a little later in the day we had a white marlin eat a long rigger and will did a great job angling him.

pretty day with a great crew!

We got held up a little this morning waiting on some thunder boomers to clear out.

After that it turned out to be a pretty day.

found a few dolphins hanging around a couple of buckets floating in the Gulfstream.

We had a hot blue marlin in the spread but did not get him hooked.

Day 2 with Steve and the boys.

see you in October
