Sushi or Tacos?
The Offshore Fleet had decent catches of Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi. A few of our boats also brought some Tilefish to the docks as well. Great eating for everyone! It was quite the squall when they got in this afternoon, so we couldn’t get all their pictures!
The Nearshore Fleet is participating in a Cobia Tournament this weekend, we wish them the best!

Fishin’ Mission
We saw a couple flags flying as the fleet returned to the marina today! Obsession released a Sailfish while All In released a Blue Marlin! They also had meat on the docks including Yellowfin, Mahi, and Wahoo! The Nearshore crowd had nice catch of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish!

Wednesday’s Catch
Fishing was a little more hit or miss today but boats returned with catches of Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi. Waste Knot alone had multiple citation sized Yellowfin Tuna today and a bonus Wahoo! Nearshore Charters also got in on the citation action with their catches of Cobia! They also reported Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Mixed Bag
We have seen a variety of fish on the docks the last couple of days! Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Blue Marlin releases! Today a pair of Bigeyes was caught on the Carly A along with a citation Gaffer Mahi on the Hog Wild. Want to get in on this action? Jigging Attempt pulled it out on the troll
our guys today wanted to jig black fin tunas and the marks had been good so i was encouraged.
We hooked several only to be eaten by sharks about 30 seconds after hooking them
we had a squall bearing down on us so we ran inshore to try to catch some jacks. We did.
then we ran back out and tried again for the blackfins on the jig. We found a mark and hooked four, all four eaten by sharks.
then we tried some deep dropping and jigging and caught a tile fish.
Trying to regroup we decided to troll and caught a dozen nice blackfins a dolphin and a king in the last hour.

Fishing Fiesta
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a little fish fiesta here at Pirate’s Cove Marina! The Offshore crew returned with catches of Yellowfin, Blackfin and Gaffer Mahi with a bonus Wahoo on Country Girl! Mixed Bag tunas and dolphins
Good to have these guys back on the bite me. its been a while, they last fished with me on the express boat in 2000
caught a few nice blackfins including a 29# citation, couple of skippies and a few dolphins

Blackfin Tuna
cooler water moved in to where we were catching the tuna, but it was clear so we decided to try it.
Marks where there so we hung out all day and put together a catch of nicer blackfins
Three citations 2 over 30# and one over 25#

Red Fish, Blue Fish
The Nearshore Fleet had great catches of Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. Also, they reported schools of Red Drum by the THOUSANDS! Great fun catching and releasing these beauties. The Offshore Fleet had another crack at the Yellowfin Tuna today, and they delivered! The Waste Knot had a day catching some citation Big Eye Tuna! A few bonus Mahi Mahi were brought in as well.
