Dolphins and a Wahoo

The Johnson clan from Virginia on board today.

Pretty day on the water.

Caught a wahoo on the high speed on the way out.

Fished around in the deep and a float found us.

Had some technical difficulties but caught a mess of dolphin around it.

Had a couple more trolling bites catching some dolphin and loosing a couple of fish that Im pretty sure were tuna.

Tight Lines Thursday!

With most of our Offshore Fleet headed to Ocean City for the WMO, we only had a few boats go out and they had a great day on the water! They had catches of Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi. Trophy Hunter even had a Blue Marlin Release!

More sharks today at ramp 45. Some croaker and mullet down in Hatteras. Blue fish on metal at ramp 55. Have a great night……………..RDT!!!

Wicked Wednesday

The wind only allowed for a few charters to go out today, but those that did had a great catch! We had catches of Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and a Blue Marlin release! Fistful caught a 162lb Blue Marlin!

The Nearshore Fleet had catches of Ribbons and Bluefish!

Reports of sharks on ramp 38 today. A nice size sand tiger caught on ramp 44. A few Spanish caught on ramp 45 behind the campground. Have a great night…………………………….RDT!!!!!

Dolphin a skippy and lost a Blue Marlin

our old friends from Maryland on board today.

light NE winds made for a cool day offshore.

We got a couple of dolphin bites and I figured there must be afloat so we wheeled around and hooked a few dolphin, after a couple of passes I found the float and they boys and girl caught a nice mess, the Joe doing the Bailing!

kinda slow on the troll, we caught a throwback bluefin, lost a blue marlin and caught a fat Skippy

Gonna be headed to Maryland to goose hunt with these folks in January!

Fishin’ on a Monday!

Not a bad day on the water with our Offshore Fleet coming back to the docks with catches of Mahi Mahi, and Yellowfin Tuna! Waste Knot had a Blue Marlin release and Fistful had a Sailfish release! The Nearshore Fleet had catches of Bluefish!

Make Up Trip

Make Up Trip

A make up trip is where individuals or small groups make up a trip of 6 and get on an offshore boat.

Hatteras Harbor puts these together and we were up!

We had there groups of two and two of those groups had fished on the bite me as part of other groups.

Guys got along great and put some meat in the box and a sailfish release!

DCBBT Day One!

It was the first day of fishing for the Dare County Boat Builders Tournament! We were happy to see flags flying as the boats returned to the marina! Desperado released a Blue Marlin along with 3 Sails!! Offshore Charters arrived with limits of Mahi Mahi, Wahoo and Haphazard released a Blue Marlin!

Our Nearshore Charters had a catch of Ribbonfish, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Moonfish and released Red Drum!

Dolphins but no marlin luck

Dolphins but no marlin luck

Great weather and great fishing conditions.

Started out raising a nice blue marlin but we did not get a hook in him.

a couple circles and we raised a double header sailfish, missing one, hooking one but sadly he fell off.

a little later we found some dolphins a caught a mess
