Kelly’s Running of the Leprechaun has changed this year from a 8K to 10K. It will start and end at Kelly’s Restaurant. This event is sponsored and hosted by Mike Kelly and Kelly’s Restaurant. After the race please join us in the Tavern for Awards and of course our buffet of Irish Stew, Irish Soda Bread, Sugar Cookies, Sweet Potato Biscuits, Beer and more.

This is a great opportunity to interact with quilt vendors and quilt makers. Presented to you with the support of Joe lamb Jr. Realty and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, the event is newly located at The Soundside event site in Nags Head, which will provide a great outdoor (tented) park-like experience for up to 750 attendees AND allow onsite parking. There will be great live music too by Jonny Waters & Company.
Your ticket price gets you an all you can eat experience of bbq, ribs, and chicken wings, and of course the right to cast your vote for the BEST OUTER BANKS BBQ of all! Although there will be tenting, this is an outdoor event. Please check the weather and dress accordingly.

Held at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Center in the northern village of Hatteras Island, the Island Art Shows host over 20 LOCAL Outer Banks Artists and their wares. Each event is a Benefit for a different Local Cause: from the OBX SPCA to Hatteras Island Meals and more. Admission to these shows is FREE–we ask you to simply support our local artisans & crafters. Attendees can find everything from fine local art & prints to woodworks, photography, upcycled art, surf art, handmade hula hoops, handmade soaps & body products and more. There will be varying live local music at each Island Art Show and we will also be serving up lunch. Kitty Hawk Kites will be kicking off the 2016 season with the annual “Fly into Spring & Easter Eggstravaganza!” Join the Kitty Hawk Kites crew March 25th and 26th at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing in Nags Head, NC for a day of springtime fun. The Kite Festival will take place Friday & Saturday from 10am-4pm at Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Enjoy fresh spring air, high flying kites, and an all around good time on the dunes. The EGGstravaganza will take place at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing, right across the street from the dunes. On Friday and Saturday there will be Easter Egg Hunts throughout Jockey’s Ridge Crossing starting at 11AM. Hunts will be broken down by age groups: 3 & under, 4-6, and 7-12. Keep an eye out for the Golden and Silver Eggs! Parents: Please remember to bring an Easter Basket for your child’s goodies. Stick around to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny from 12:00-1:00pm. Bring your camera!
