Fishing on the surf so far today has been good. Most folks are catching plenty of bluefish, sea mullet, and few speckle trout. Next high tide today is at 2:42pm. The sounds are full of speckle trout and croakers. Inshore charters getting plenty of flounder and bluefish. Offshore charters are getting gaffer dolphin, tuna, and scattered white marlin. Surf Fishing has been pretty good with lots of puffers, sea mullet, croakers, and lots of bluefish up to 3 pounds in the evenings. We have weighed 3 black drum this week, a 10 pounder, 13 pounder, and a 15 pounder. So there is some bigger black drum in the surf. Offshore fishing still catching yellowfin tuna and scattered sailfish. Inshore charters we have been catching big tautog and sea bass. Dave on Reel Attitude caught some over 5 pounds this past week. Fishing on the surf has improved with very nice size sea mullet, croakers, and speckle trout. Still catching dogfish also. Full day charters doing well on yellowfin tuna, scattered dolphin and sails. Inshore catching lots of dogsharks and a few blues. On the sound we have had lots of trout being caught as well. Continue reading
Surf Fishing has been good with lots of spot, croakers, black drum, and blues still. Water temp is 66 degrees with a sw wind at 15-20. Plenty of small speckle trout with a few keepers also being caught. Our half day and full day charters have been doing well this week. Surf Fishing in Duck has been excellent. Lots And Lots of speckle trout and citation size sea mullet. Plenty of blues and black drum. Still waiting on the big drum run. Most folks are using bloodworms and our fresh mullet. For the trout using gulp baits or mirrolures. Our half day charters getting plenty of blues drum and flounder. Continue reading
Surf Fishing has been good with lots of black drum, spot, croaker, and sea mullet using bloodworms or fish bites. We have been getting some speckle trout on lead heads with gulp baits. A few puppy drum being caught on fresh mullet. We did weigh in a 5lb. 7oz trout and 4 sea mullet just over two pounds. Our Inshore charters have been getting plenty of big flounder, blues, spanish, and albacore. Offshore still good tuna fishing. Continue reading
Surf Fishing has been great with lots of bottom fish, few puppy drum, and small blues. My daughter sage and I caught these trout in duck the other day. Surf Fishing in Duck has been very good with lots of spot, big croakers, and large sea mullet. Rob Frazer caught this speckle trout here in duck. We have also been catching blues, and pompano. Our Full Day Charters are catching tuna, dolphin, white and blue marlin. Our Half Day Charters are getting good numbers of spanish, blues, and we had plenty of cobia caught on Thursday. Flounder fishing has been excellent dragging gulp baits slow on the bottom. Next High tide is 11:00pm. Water temp is 77 degrees. Surf Fishing has been great with lots of blues and spanish mackerel being caught off of small spoons and jigfish. Good numbers of spot, croaker, sea mullet, and flounder also. Surf Fishing has been the best this summer I’ve seen in a long time. Folks catching blues and spanish every cast with these lures for the past couple of weeks now.
