Outer Banks Fishing Report

Surf Fishing Report:
This is what we call the dog days of summer time. It is so hot and the Ocean is so cold. Watching the cams I see people jumping out as quick as jumping in.
The last several days there have been Spanish reported at ramp 45 and Sea Mullet scattered. I have a picture of a Pompano caught yesterday in Frisco. I have heard nothing from this side of the bridge so is anyone fishing?

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching Trout and Black Drum.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish, Mullet and Croaker.
Nags Head: Nothing.
Jennette’s: Nothing yet.
Outer Banks: 2 Croakers and a mullet.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Nearshore boats are releasing Red Drum and catching Spanish, Albacore, Moonfish and Kings. Sound fishing remains the place to fish for Trout and Puppy Drum.

Offshore continues to catch their limits of Tilefish, a few Blackfin, some Yellowfin and Dolphin. There was a Sailfish release reported by Pirates Cove.
