The inn has a comfortable living room and a porch with rocking chairs.
At the Scarborough House Inn, a tired traveler can cozy up in antique post beds covered by handmade spreads, in rooms graced with gleaming pine floors and authentic local artifacts. Sway in a bench swing surrounded by clematis, canna lilies and a goldfish pond.

An 1850′s settee, canopied beds, and an authentic antique Coast Guard chair are just some of the touches that grace the five guest bedrooms. Much of the furniture was refurbished by Phil, a talented woodworker who also had a hand in designing and constructing much of the traditionally styled Scarborough House itself. Original photographs of old Manteo and the couple’s ancestors dress the walls and pay homage to their roots in Roanoke Island.

Simple amenities in each room provide guests the best of all worlds: comfort, privacy and service. Combined with the hospitality of the attentive hosts, the Scarborough House will be a sure delight to a discerning traveler.

Your comfort is our main goal. We offer clean, well-maintained and inviting rooms which are furnished in antiques and collectibles, therefore, no two rooms are alike. For your convenience, all rooms have a private bath, TV, cable and telephone. We have one handicap room. Choose from any room with double, queen and king sized beds.

We have 14 units available, continental breakfast, microwave, refrigerator and coffee makers in rooms. There are two resstaurants just across street. Call 252-473-3979 or e-mail to inquire more about all the services we provide.
